HAMADA ABU NIJMEH Specializes in Legal Affairs and labour, holds a regular bar, worked as a lawyer for more than 10 years until 1995; served as legal advisor to the Ministry of labour in Jordan since 1995 and president of the Court of wages 1998 - 2012. Served as Director of Legal Affairs and International Cooperation and Information since 2004, Deputy Secretary-General of the Ministry and acting Secretary General from 2008 to 2010, Secretary-General since the beginning of 2012. Drafted labour legislation and amendments in Jordan since 1997, lecturer and instructor in law and labour, and international labour standards, participated in many Arab and international labour conferences and regional representative of the Government of Jordan since 2001; in addition to participating in numerous Arab and international conferences of lawyers. Authored a number of books and carried out studies including: child labour in Jordanian legislation, jurisprudence in the area of work, the immunity of counsel, the legal status of prisoners of war, social dialogue in international labour standards, termination of employment at the initiative of the employer. Editor of the magazine "work", a magazine dealing with the affairs of work and of workers, studies and researches on the labor market, and labor relations. Member of the national tripartite Commission for labour, and was a founding member of Amnesty International, Jordan branch. |
